Spring Break

 For my spring break I went to New Orleans, LA. A lot of my family were there too! We all slept in my Mima's house and it was fairly small. On the trip there, we went with my Aunt's family in their car. We got Buc-ees on the way too. When I got to my Mima and Papa's home, I was greeted by my Mima, two cousins, Aunt, and Papa. That same day, my mom's cousin came and visited for a while. The next day, we went to a Saint Patrick's parade and had a lot of fun. Before the parade we went to a party that was fun too! Before the party, we had breakfast with one of my moms friends. The day after that, we went to two parks, a restraunt, and had ice cream and snow cones. After that day, we went to the zoo. The last day we were there, we went to the bowling alley. After bowling we just dance to our favorite songs and I learned the wobble. On the way back to Mima and Papa's house from the bowling alley, we listened to Joan Jett. I also did some sewing with my Mima from time to time. On the way to go to my home, I watched Big Hero 6 and we got Buc-ees again. I had a fun filled Spring Break. Here are some pictures.

The Toyota Tundra Plant

Today in homeschool, I went on a field trip to the Toyota tundra plant. Here is some information about it.

It takes 20 hours to make one truck.
Before the workers start working they stretch for 6 minutes.
Up to 3,000 people work one shift and since there are two shifts a day, 6,000 people work a day.
The workers can build about 430 trucks in 8 hours.
The robots do most of the painting on the trucks.
There are 4 coats of paint on each truck. In order they are ED, Primary, base, and clear.
The workers have a robot they call Zilla because it can pick up 1500 pounds.
There is only 1 Toyota tundra plant.
The workers work 10-11 hours a shift.
About 50% of the workers drive a Toyota.
The workers are starting to produce Toyota Tacomas.
Most of the Tacomas are made at the Toyota tundra plant.
The rest of the Tacomas are made in Baja California which is actually is in Mexico.
When a worker needs help, they pull a white string and music sounds out through the plant.

Thanksgiving break

For thanksgiving break we went to our friends Kari and Michael's house in Louisiana. We stayed there for four days and had a lot of fun. They live next to train tracks so we smashed a few pennies. They also live next to a park. At the park we found a cool bench. It is shaped like a Saturn ring aitnd it spins. We turned it into a game called the ring of fire. In this game you stand on the bench trying to knock people off and the last one standing wins. My sister cheats by laying down and holding onto the bench. That night we met with a friend named Scott bourgeois. The next day it was Thanksgiving and we went to my Mima's house. Our cousin's, aunt, and uncle were there too.The thanksgiving food was great. Our family and friends played outside a lot. At the end of the day we built a fire and watched football. The day after that we have family pictures taken by my aunt and went to my mom's friend named Zach's house. We also had a big get together with my mom's high school friends. I had a lot of fun. The last day we went to our friend Abbie's house to play. Her son's were named Falcon and Clay. Her husband is in the band 311 and his name is Aaron. After that we went to my second cousin's sweet 16/cancer free party and had a blast. Her name was Berkeley. This trip was awesome from the start.

Caves

Yesterday I went 180 feet below ground. It was 70 degrees in there and 99% humidity. I took a lot of good pictures. check them out!

I had a lot of fun! We had a person who told us about the caves and her name was Sabrina. I was a little scared at first but then I thought about my mom and I felt a lot better.

Animals

I have talked about my parents and my siblings, but I haven't really told you about animals. I have a dog named Chela and I have a cat named Blanca. It is funny how they get along so well. They are the best. I am a huge animal lover. My favorite animal is a dog, but I still care for cats, birds, and even lions. I don't really have a deep love for bugs, but I like to learn about them. And even if I don't like bugs, I feel bad for them because they always get squished. There is a song my choir sings and it is called cockroach. The song is about how we all hate the cockroach, but what if one of them was kind. We would probably still smash it right? Well, it wouldn't be fair to the cockroach. I am not blaming any of you. You probably have a fear of a cockroach just as much as I have a fear of spiders. One time, there was a huge spider in my room. I was scared of it, but I didn't kill it. It wasn't doing anything to me so it would be unfair to the spider. It went away, then it came back and eventually we did kill it. But it still was mean and unfair. What I say is, what if you were that spider. Would you want someone to kill you even if you weren't doing anything. Usually what we do is get a napkin, pick it up and put it outside. So if there is a bug in your house, instead of killing it, put it outside with a napkin because if you do that, it's a win,win.

Siblings

At first when you see your little brother or sister when they are a baby, you think the're so cute, but as they grow up they can bother you a little bit. Here's some advice with little brothers, don't get them mad, they are stronger than you think. And advice with little sisters, don't even pretend to push her because she will play the cuteness card on mommy and daddy and those people will punish you, of course you are supposed to get punished for that so... well, you get the idea. Besides that though they are pretty fun. My brother is super funny and my sisters cuteness card works, she is adorable. Sometimes, when they are not so crazy, we make a good team. And the best part is that through them trying to get on your nerves, they still love you. they are my best friends and always will be, I love you Lucas and Emaleigh!!!
