Thanksgiving

I went to Mississippi for Thanksgiving. That is where my great-grandmother lives. She has a really, really big backyard. Since she has a small house, we got to camp out in her backyard. We had a fire every night and it was really fun!

My cousin Hudson is two years old and the cutest. One time he put the dog leash on my belt loop we pretended that I was his dog. Hudson's sister is Zoe. She is six, so sweet and adorable.

My cousin Olivia is also six and is so pretty. Her brother Dominic is nine and awesome.

We played football a lot and soccer too. We played a pie face game where  you twist a thing one time and it might or might not pie you in the face.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun.

Ronda Rousey

I think Ronda Rousey screams girl power.  She once pinned someone in 14 seconds, she is undefeated, and some men are afraid to fight her.

Ronda Jean Rousey was born on February 1, 1987, in Riverside, California, to Ron Rousey and Anna Maria Demars. When she was born she had an umbilical cord wrapped around her neck that damaged her vocal chords, and she could not speak well until the age of six.

Ronda is a mixed martial artist, an actress, and practices judo. Judo is a modern martial art, combat, and Olympic sport created in Japan. Her mom is a professional judo fighter and the first American to win at the world judo championship. She started playing judo when she was 11. Ronda is also a self-professed tomboy. That part of her reminds me of my cousin, Jessica.

She is an actor in the following movies: Entourage, The Expendables 3, and Furious 7. Ronda Rousey was on the cover of the magazine Sports Illistrated. She is sometimes known as the Arm Collector or Rowdy. One of the reasons her nickname is the Arm Collector is because she has her special move called the "Arm Bar" also known as the "Juji Gatame". She says "Nothing is easy until you beat it".

I think I was chosen to write about Ronda because she is a martial artist and actress like me. Someday I want to be like Ronda Rousey.

Happy Birthday

For the weekend I went to a place called Rio Raft for my grandpa/uncle's birthday. We had an amazing cabin and the place had a pool. My volleyball friends (Ashlyn and Elise) just happened to be there at the same place at the same time which made it even more fun. We stayed there from Thursday to Monday. Now I have a sunburn but it was worth it. We had a party on Sunday and it was a blast. I also liked driving the golf cart. It was awesome. Happy Birthday Grandpa and Uncle Shane.

Best 5

the five best things that happened in the summer are...

1.Tarzan
My mom took me to a Tarzan play that all my friends were in and we went to IHOP with them after the play.

2.Attack of the Zombies
I went to an acting camp and the theme was attack of the zombies. At the end we put on the play for a lot of people. This was the first time I was actually in a play. I was a character named Anne. before the play everyone started to pray and one girl came up to me and asked "can I pray with you?".

3.Patriots
There is a homeschool volleyball team called the Patriots and I tried out for the team. I am now playing volleyball with the Patriots and it is so much fun. we practice on Mondays and Thursdays.

4. Cousins
My cousins came over a lot during the summer and we had a good time doing a lot of fun things.
My cousins are Jessica,Christi, and Kayla.

5.Summer
I love the weather in summer. It is so amazing. I also love doing things with my family and no school of course.

Aquarium

I went on a field trip to the aquarium and it was really fun. I leaned lot while I was there. We got to touch some of the animals too. For example:
                                                           Turtles...
And stingrays.
Here are some pictures of me and my siblings.
We got to feed some of the animals too. We got to touch starfish, stingrays, and turtles! How cool is that! I did not get a picture of it but I got to touch a bird too. We saw jellyfish and an octopus. All our friends were there so we got to play with them before the tour. It was such an amazing trip and if you are looking to go somewhere educational and entertaining, I highly recommend this aquarium.
Here is the address: 6320 Bandera Rd.

Simpson products field trip

Today we went on a field trip to a Simpson products place and I am going to tell you a little bit about what we learned.
This is a picture of us in the car on the way there.

These are the seat belts that the drivers use to stay locked in. The next picture will be of what the driver would look like if he had all of the seat belts on.

They also have a HANS device which stands for head and neck system to protect the drivers head and neck. This is a picture of me wearing the HANS device.

We saw some people sewing parachutes together too. A picture of a parachute:

They use a parachute for drag racing. We saw the layers of a helmet too and the girl who is in charge of that is named Dora. Here is me with the shell of a helmet on and the helmet when it is finished on me.

We saw the helmets when they were painted too. They come in all different kinds of colors.

The guy who was in charge of the painting was named Sandiago.

This is a picture of Bill Simpson, the owner of Simpson products. He had made a fire retardant suit but no one believed him so he put on the suit, put gas all over him, and lit himself on fire for 5-10 seconds to prove it. I had an amazing time and we even got goodie bags at the end.

Spring Break

For my spring break I went to New Orleans, LA. A lot of my family were there too! We all slept in my Mima's house and it was fairly small. On the trip there, we went with my Aunt's family in their car. We got Buc-ees on the way too. When I got to my Mima and Papa's home, I was greeted by my Mima, two cousins, Aunt, and Papa. That same day, my mom's cousin came and visited for a while. The next day, we went to a Saint Patrick's parade and had a lot of fun. Before the parade we went to a party that was fun too! Before the party, we had breakfast with one of my moms friends. The day after that, we went to two parks, a restraunt, and had ice cream and snow cones. After that day, we went to the zoo. The last day we were there, we went to the bowling alley. After bowling we just dance to our favorite songs and I learned the wobble. On the way back to Mima and Papa's house from the bowling alley, we listened to Joan Jett. I also did some sewing with my Mima from time to time. On the way to go to my home, I watched Big Hero 6 and we got Buc-ees again. I had a fun filled Spring Break. Here are some pictures.

The Toyota Tundra Plant

Today in homeschool, I went on a field trip to the Toyota tundra plant. Here is some information about it.

It takes 20 hours to make one truck.
Before the workers start working they stretch for 6 minutes.
Up to 3,000 people work one shift and since there are two shifts a day, 6,000 people work a day.
The workers can build about 430 trucks in 8 hours.
The robots do most of the painting on the trucks.
There are 4 coats of paint on each truck. In order they are ED, Primary, base, and clear.
The workers have a robot they call Zilla because it can pick up 1500 pounds.
There is only 1 Toyota tundra plant.
The workers work 10-11 hours a shift.
About 50% of the workers drive a Toyota.
The workers are starting to produce Toyota Tacomas.
Most of the Tacomas are made at the Toyota tundra plant.
The rest of the Tacomas are made in Baja California which is actually is in Mexico.
When a worker needs help, they pull a white string and music sounds out through the plant.

Now for the pictures me and my mom took.
